B. Inggris Praktis : Singular and Plural

Singular = benrtuk tunggal.
Plura =  bentuk  jamak.

Singular	Plural
The doll is beautiful	The dolls are beutiful
That car is new	Those cars are new
This is my book	These are my books
The water is dirty (tidak dapat dihitung)	Some water is dirty

The digunakan untuk                                        

1.   Benda yang ada hanya satu-satunya di dunia seperti  matahari, langit, air

      Contoh : The sky is blue.

2.   Sesuatu yang tertentu

      Contoh : Ada tiga buah gelas berisi air, salah satu gelas berisi air kotor.

                     The water is dirty

3.   Umumnya masyarakat telah mengetahuinya.

      Contoh : Buku, tukang kayu

The tidak berubah dari singular ke plural

  

Exercises : Change into plural form 

1.   This is a pencil

            These are pencils.

2.   Is the book on the table ?

            Are the books on the table?

           

3.   I have money to buy it

            I have a lot of money to buy it

4.   This car is not mine

            These cars are not mine

5.   The carpenter is making door and window

      The carpenter are making doors and windows
